Reef Bay Trail

The Reef Bay Trail in St. John is a completely downhill three-mile trail that runs from Centerline Road to the ruins of the Reef Bay sugar factory near the Genti Bay beach. St. John’s tropical forests, sugar mills and petroglyphs can all be taken in by hikers seeking adventure on this trail. Descending 937 feet from the road to the floor of Bay Valley, the Reef Bay Trail overlooks what was once plantations and estates that produced sugar, cotton, cocoa, coffee, sweet potato, yams and more. Now, the Reef Bay Trail follows the course of Reef Bay Gut where hikers can enjoy the mango, mammee apple and kapok trees.
